BLT (Building Leadership Team) - ZCMS

Building Leadership Team Member
Stipend: $1,350 - at least 50 hours/full school year (one hour per week; dates and times may vary by buidling)
Purpose Statement: In addition to the requirements of your assigned job duties building leadership team members are accountable for the communication of district and school-wide initiatives to their building-level colleagues, accountable for developing systems of data analysis to ensure the delivery of support systems for unsuccessful students both academically and behaviorally, and assisting in setting the overall culture and climate for the school with a student focused mindset. Building leadership team members will ensure that there is consistency in communicating out information from the building leadership team meetings to all staff in a timely manner, ensure a system by which all staff members can share concerns, suggestions and ideas to the building leadership team and provide focused and on-going professional development to staff in carrying out district-level and building-level initiatives.
Building Leadership Team Members must lead by example through/by:
Showing commitment to district- and school-wide change;
Believing in student-focused decision making
Possessing leadership potential;
A willingness to provide professional development to colleagues on behalf of district -and building-level initiatives
Demonstrating effective interpersonal skills; and
Being able to start projects and "get things done."
Essential Duties: The Team Leader will:
Attend weekly (BLT) building leadership team meetings.
Participate in the development, training and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan
Participate in the development, training and monitoring of Tier 1 PBIS initiatives
Use data to review, monitor and evaluate current practice of district and school wide policies, instructional practices, curriculum implementation
Support, motivate, coach and advise staff, and work alongside them if necessary in the development of their classroom practice and implementation of district and school wide initiatives,
Disseminate pertinent district and school wide information and provide staff development focused on the overall improvement of culture and climate and student achievement.
Assist in the development of positive home-school connections for all families by developing ways to involve parents in the academic life of their child as well as the life of the school.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local and national initiatives focusing on building a Professional Learning Community.
Other duties as assigned or required.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
